Along the deep approach, an earthen-finish wall is introduced, and continuous horizontal lines of light are placed above and below along its surface. These lights guide visitors along the approach while softly illuminating the planting at foot level, and they also serve as an eye-catching feature when approaching from the street. In the hall, torii-inspired frames are repeated as a design motif referencing traditional timber framing, creating rhythm and a sense of depth in the space.
