A renovation plan for the Royal Suite at Hotel New Nagasaki. Designed as a guest room for multiple uses, including online meetings, it aims to balance refined quality with functionality. Above the meeting table, a custom pendant light with an antique brass finish was installed, with acrylic inlaid at the top to add an uplighting function that softly washes the ceiling. Shifting away from the previous scheme that evenly brightened the entire room, the lighting plan was reconfigured to emphasize contrast between light and shadow. Indirect lighting was integrated into bespoke furniture and architectural detailing to shape a well-composed lighting environment.
